The trail elevates from the lush valley of Paro through the connifer forest till the mountain passes and the yak pastures.
A beautiful trek to see the snowy Chomolhari chain without going too high in altitude.
Camp by mountain lakes and isolated monasteries.
Excursion to the Taktsang Hermitage , Flying Tiger's nest.
|Day 1||Flight from Kathmandu to Paro.
Along the Himalayan chain , from the Cho Oyu, Mt.Everest, Makalu and the Kanchenjunga, spectacular ! Pick up by our guide at the airport.Visit the Kichu Lkahan and the Paro’s dzong.
|Day 2||Flying Tiger monastery
After a copious breakfast we head to the Flying Tiger Monastery traditionally, theTaktsang Hermitage, vehicle and ascent by foot.
|Day 3||Trek from Paro to Jele Dzong, 3450m|
|Day 4||Jangchulakha, 3700m
Visit of the Jele Fort . Hike through forests and pastures.
|Day 5||imilangtsho, 3880m
View of the snowy mountains, the Chomolhari and the valley. Downhill to the Jimilangtsho lake. Camp by the lake.
|Day 6||Simkota, 4090
Hike from crest to crest.
|Day 7||Phajoding, 3690m
The trail takes us to Phumo la, 3712m, for a view of the Gangkar Phuesum,7570m.Excursion to the perched hermitage Thujidra .
Camp by the Phajoding monastery.
Two hours downhill through a connifer forest and giant rhododendrons.
Transfer to Thimphu.
Take the afternoon off to stroll through the city streets.
|Day 9||Visit Thimphu and Paro
Changka Lakhang one of the most ancient sites of the valley. Imposing structure of limewashed stones and painted woodwork.
From here we go to the Art School of Timphu where small groups of studious bhutanese learn sculpture, molding, and painting.Visit the textile museem.Visit the Tashi Choe Fort. One of the most important Dzongs of the country . Transfer to Paro.
