Itinerary Information

From Pokhara through the Seti valley till the base of the Mardi Himal.

A plateau overlooking the Seti valley on one side and the Annapurna II on the other, you are surrounded by fields of canola, paddy and wheat. Limewashed stone houses with wooden windows painted in bright colours make up the Gurung villages of the valley.

The Gurungs are an ethnic population of Nepal who are  in majority buddhists, a few are hindus.

In these villages the women have come together to welcome trekkers in their homes. Rooms have been arranged and turn by turn the women prepare delicious dal bhat with all the right spices.

Discover tea plantations at the foothill of the Annapurnas and the small tea factory.
Enjoy the incredible view of Annapurna’s south face from your hosts’ sunny terrace.

Ascent to the Australian Base Camp, not an actual base camp , but its lawned platform will offer you a privileged panorama of the Dhaulagiri, Annapurnas , Machhapuchhare and its 6000m neighbors.

The short version of this trek takes hikers to Pokhara from the Australian Base Camp. The longer version continues to  Landrung  and Gandrung, villages on the classic Annapurna Balcony trek which are on the other hillside. Gandrung is the biggest Gurung town in Nepal
