Itinerary Information

An itinerary for those who wish to discover the bhutanese  countryside as well as visit the most important sites of Paro and Timphu.

Visit with our guide the cultural sites of Timphu and its architectural wonders, Tashi Choe Fort, the temple of Changka and the Art School. Take a car to Punakha and over the Docha pass, 3100m. 

Visit Punakha’s dzong at the confulence of two rivers.

Easy three day hike through hills of the Punakha valley. Ideal introduction to  the bhutanese lifetsyle.

Day 1 Fly along the Himalayas from Kathmandu to Paro.
Transfer to Timphu. Stroll through the market and visit the Memorial Chorten.
Day 2 Visit Thimphu
Visit the Changka Lhakang  where Bhutanese children receive their first names.Share a candid moment with students of the Art School of Timphu and visit a typical bhutanese farm.
Bhutanese lunch.
Hike in the countryside to discover the people’s lifetsyle.
Visit Tashi Choe.
Day 3 From Thimphu to Punakha by the Docha la
View of the Himalayan chain to the East from the Docha pass, 3100m.Visit Punakha’s dzong and the Crazy Divine’s monastery a curious character !
Day 4,5 and 6 Hike.
Hike through the villages around Nemcho.Hike through pine and rhododendron forest , into colza and wheat fieldsm meet the local farmers and discocver a small monastery.
Day 7 Parot and Taktsang Hermitage ( Flying Tiger’s Nest)
Back to Paro early in the morning and excursion to the Flying Tiger’s Nest monastery perched on a rock.
Day 8 Flight back to Kathmandu
From Kanchenjunga to Everest, what a flight back to the city of  temples.
