Here lands are rich and fertile, because of this many sherpas remain farmers here in these beautiful valleys protected by important monasteries and their big lamas ( monks) .
The climate is more adapteable than that of the Northern parts with a good variety of flora. Beautiful conifers and rhododendrons forests, bamboo groves, overlooking clear water torrents.
Protected by the monks, the animals roam fearlessly in the valley, colourful birds, eagles, roe deers and red pandas. At night you might hear the leopards and bears grunt and walk by.
