Everest

Everest, Between the Yak and the Yeti.
Everest’s region begins from the Solu, to the Rolwaling up to the tibetan border and the Khumbu at the foothill of Mt.Everest.
The inhabitants of this  region are known world wide for their work on the highest summits of the world and their Tibetan-budhist culture.

Here you will find the three highest summits of the world, Everest, Cho Oyu and the Lhotse.
Trek  amongst the highest mountains in the world.
No other region will offer you treks with such a spectacular view of the top of the world.

Hike for a week till the Everest Base Camp or on the challenging trail of the three mountain passes till the Everest Base Camp. Whichever you chose you will be hiking in high altitude landscapes.

Buddhism forbids from killing any beings  therefore you will have numerous chances to see golden pheasants and blue sheep. The evasive snow leopards is extremely rare to see, you might find its paw prints in the snow !

At the Everest Base Camp, many groups of climbers from around the world get ready for the climb of their life. The Sherpas tirelessly help to make sure everything runs smoothly at this high altitude.

The first ‘sherpas’ came from Tibet 200 years ago, they were Khampas a sub-ethnic group of Tibet. They settled in the lower Everest region : Solu. Here lands are rich and fertile. Because of this many sherpas remain farmers here in these beautiful valleys protected by important monasteries and their big lamas ( monks) .

The climate is more adapteable than that of the Northern parts with a good variety of flora. Beautiful conifers and rhododendrons forests, bamboo groves, overlooking clear water torrents.
Protected by the monks, the animals roam fearlessly in the valley, colourful birds, eagles, roe deers and red pandas. At night you might hear the leopards and bears grunt .

The Solu region will offer you the possibility to learn about the Sherpa way of life and their culture.

Because of its remoteness and barren lands the Rolwaling valley is less developed but closer to the high summits ! Trek on an itinerary far away from the classic trails and the comfortable lodges. Here you will be accomadated in tents. An authentic itinerary for the adventurous people taking you up to the frozen Tsho Rolpa lake overlooked by the Gauri Shanker, 7000m.
