Trekking Peaks
Trekking summits are often included as part of a trekking experience and can extend the trek by just two or three days. For those who prefer not to climb, there are opportunities to explore around Base Camp. These peaks usually do not require technical climbing skills, but some may be suited only for experienced mountaineers. You will be accompanied by our mountain guides and high-altitude sherpas, who will set up fixed ropes when needed.
Permits and Regulations
The regulations for these peaks are governed by the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA). You can consult the NMA website for the list of peaks and permit costs:
GST will handle the procurement of your climbing permits before your arrival. They will also manage the refund of the “Garbage Fee” after your expedition. According to the new Nepalese legislation, GST ensures that their Nepalese team is properly equipped for both the base camp and the ascent. You can opt for an all-inclusive package or bring some of your climbing gear, such as ropes, high-altitude tents, and harnesses. GST provides CERTEC hyperbaric chambers and Thuraya satellite phones.
Once you register, you will receive a Practical Sheet with essential information for preparing your expedition. This includes details on insurance, health, addresses of mountain medicine centers, a comprehensive list of your equipment, and climate information. During your expedition, our meteorology specialist will send you the latest weather forecasts via SMS.
