Every trekker’s dream since its opening, the region maintains its mysticism.
This circuit allows you to discover the essential sites of Mustang as well as remote villages in the north, and the beautiful landscapes of Kali Gandaki’s left riverbank.
From Jomsom up along the Kali Gandaki to Kagbeni a fortified village, the gateway to Mustang. Here we leave behind the classic Annapurna Tour trail to enter the protected sanctuary of the ancient Kingdom.
The mineral landscape is of ochre and brown colours. The villages are surrounded by an oasis of wheat and barley fields.
Excursion to the Chungsi cave and up along Drakmar’s crests.
Impressive remnants of troglodyte (cave dwellers) villages hanging to eroding cliffs.
Visit of Lo Gekar monastery.
Lo Manthang, 3800m, its imposing walls shelters the Royal Palace and numerous big monasteries. Stroll in Lo’s alleys, we are taken back to the middle ages, we are now travelling through time!
Excursion northwards to the Tibetan border into the Choser valley and to the Kacho Dzong.
From Lo to Dhi , crossing the Kali Gandaki to Yara.
Trekkers are rare on this side of the river.
Excursion to Lori, inside a natural cave a stupa was built surrounded by murals with beautiful patterns.
Trek to Tangye, followed by the stunning lady finger canyons before reaching Tetang and the Kali Gandaki river.
A distinct itinerary plunging you into the mysticism of the Himalayan region. A population whose culture resemble Tibet ‘s but who have managed to keep the particular Bon religion. Serene valleys, villages and faces.

A good hiking experience is necessary. Possibility to add two days to this itinerary before entering the Mustang permit zone.

Flight for Jomosom. Up along the Kali Gandaki off the beaten tracks till the charming village named Lupra
|Day 3||From Kagbeni to Chaïle, 3050m|
|Day 4||From Chaile to Samar, 3600m|
|Day 5||From Samar to Gheling, 3570m by Chungsi’s cave.
It is in this cave that the buddhist saint Padmasambava meditated for several months.
|Day 6||From Geling to Drakmar, 3820m by the crests.|
|Day 7||From Drakmar to Ghar Gompa(Lo Gekar) and Tsarang, 3560m.
lGhar Ghompa is one of the most ancient of Nepal. Downhill to Tsarang with beautiful landscapes.
|Day 8||From Tsarang to Lo Manthang, 3840m.|
|Day 9||Lo Manthang and the North
Excursion to the Choser valley till Nyphu Gompa and Jhong’s cave ot excursiont o Kacho Dzong with a return by the Namgyel monastery overlookign Lo.
|Day 10||From Lo Manthang to Yara, 3650m.

|Day 15||From Kagbeni to Jomosom by Dangarjung.|
|Day 16||Flight Jomosom – Pokhara, bus Kathmandu.|
