Upon reaching Pisang village, you will see that it is divided into two distinct parts. The upper village is a typical valley with terraced roof houses that provide stunning views of Annapurna II, Pisang Peak, and Chulu.
Today is an acclimatization day at altitude. We will start our trek from the old village of Pisang and embark on a steep climb through a beautiful pine forest. Our destination is a pass marked by mani walls, which offers one of the most breathtaking views of the Annapurna and the Hongde Valley.
For those who are feeling especially adventurous, there is an option to continue on to the Pisang Peak base camp, which is situated at a height of 4300m. From the base camp, the view is panoramic and extends from Lamjung Himal to Annapurna, Ganja Himal, the beautiful Tilicho Peak, and the Chulu in the distance.
This uninhabited high mountain area is home to a variety of wildlife, and you may have the chance to encounter a herd of mouflons, Himalayan pheasants, or even a solitary yak.
After spending some time at the base camp, we will begin our descent and follow a hillside trail to reach the Gyaru village. This village is off the beaten track and has retained all its authenticity, making it a charming place to visit.
