The Everest region features some of the highest peaks in the world. You can see unmatched panoramas of 8000 and 7000-meter peaks here. After a flight to Lukla at 2800 meters, you’ll start a trek that takes you to the foot of these majestic giants. Along the way, you’ll see mountains like Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Annapurna, Gaurishankar, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Sishapangma. You will get to enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets, perfect for photos and witnessing the region’s beauty up close.

Your journey takes you to Namche Bazaar, the vibrant Sherpa capital. It’s bustling with local markets and traditional charm. From there, you will continue your trek to Khumjung, a picturesque village with stunning views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and other peaks. This village is known for its unique culture and serene environment. One highlight of the trek is a stop at Tengboche Monastery, where you can witness a Buddhist ceremony with Sherpa villagers. This experience offers a deep connection with local spirituality and traditions.

As you make your way up the mountain, you’ll pass through various villages, each with its own distinct culture. You’ll encounter the rich Buddhist heritage of the Sherpas, the vibrant traditions of the Tamangs, and the unique customs and beliefs of the Rai people. The trek is demanding, but it’s designed so you can enjoy it at your own pace. This means you don’t have to push yourself too hard if you prefer a more relaxed journey.

After experiencing the wonders of the Everest region, you’ll return to Lukla, filled with memories of your adventure. Keep in mind that during the Spring and Autumn seasons, flights to Lukla depart from Ramechap instead of Kathmandu, adding an extra day to your circuit. This minor adjustment provides a smooth travel experience during the peak trekking seasons.

For those with limited time who want to get as close to the roof of the world as possible without risking altitude problems, this nine-day trek at the foot of Everest, staying below 4000 meters, is ideal. On the second day of our trek, we start by taking an early morning flight from Ramechhap to Lukla. You will meet the porters’ team upon reaching Lukla, marking our trek’s official start. The trek begins through Sherpa country, where you encounter the first Buddhist monasteries in Chuplung. The trail follows the Dudh Khosi River, winding through barley and wheat fields. After approximately four hours of trekking, we arrive in Phakding, where we spend the night in a beautiful mountain hotel. This day’s trek includes a 50-meter ascent and a 240-meter descent.
