March toMay and September to November
The itinerary begins by following the same trail as the Annapurna Circuit through the Marsyangdi gorges by jeep till Dharapani. Incredible views, from the terraced rice fields to the steep cliffs .
From Dharapani to Koto by foot, here you are in Buddhist territory, ‘chortens’ guard each villages and a prayer flag protect each home.
From Koto we leave the classic Annapurna Circuit trail to follow Nar, the river. Hiking in narrown gorges till the first few hamlets.
The land and is arid and the mountains are eroded. The houses built with flat roof interlocked in one another seem to protect themselves from this harsh landscape. But for us the contrast between the ocre lands and eternally snowy peaks are unforgettable.
Phu is a lovely village , perched on its hill this is the last village before the high lands in the North.
